April 1998

Subject: April Scopes

April is the cruellest month.."

T. S. Eliot from his epic poem "The Wasteland"

This monthly mailer is coming a little early because we've got Mercury Retrograde from March 27 until mid-April. But we will survive. Thank the nice folks at AstroNet for being this month's unofficial sponsor.

The poet may, or may not, protest the generous fecundity and abundant fertility coming along this month. From Aries to Taurus, it's one of those seasons that will just grow on you.

Aries--This month really does start out on a sour note--just like some pollen your allergies really react harshly to, you ain't a happy camper at the beginning. This changes quickly for the better. In fact, it will feel a little better about the time you finish this missive.

Taurus--I wrote up a yearly forecast some time last year, and what I said about how good things will get coming up right after the middle of the month was really true. Mars starts by taking bad situations and making them good. Or it's suppose to.

Gemini--The only problem at the beginning of the month is work and that resolves itself pretty quickly. And work is never too much of an issue for a Gemini. I have told you about working two jobs, the Twins thing? Think of the extra work as moonlighting.

Cancer--Even though the first few days of April are kind of slow, that is, you feel like the poet might be right, life, especially your romantic life, gets better. Venus spends a lot of this month in Pisces (it's a good thing).

Leo--Around the middle of the month, maybe earlier, your love life takes off. At least I think it's your love life. Might be a career boost, but I tend to think and feel it's romance. Of course, I'm a romantic at heart.

Virgo--Venus is opposite you for much of this month. Now this is either good or bad, and it depends on how you play your cards. Play your typical safe side and it will work out just fine. Long shots, or straight bluffing, isn't a safe bet this month.

Libra--This month starts with home matters, certain home-based considerations, requiring some extra attention. I mean, the month begins with Mars lining up with Saturn, over yonder in Aries, combining with a retrograde Mercury to really "heighten" your focus. Relax! After April Fools' Day, everything gets better.

Scorpio--Imagine a Bubba, loading up the BBQ Grill with lots of mesquite and gasoline. Whoa! Stand back! You don't need to stand too close to Bubba's grill this month. In fact, plan on being extra cautious, all month long. Mr. Mars, one of your planets, makes a lot of hot action all around you.

Sagittarius--Despite many apparently pejorative planet alignments this month, and despite Mercury exacerbating matters, you're set for some good times this month. After playing the April fool, plan on realizing some long-term goals. Just watch out for Pisces this month.

Capricorn--The first part of the month looks like you're going to "feel" like you are banging your head against a fixed object, i.e., friends and lovers are obstinate. The good news is the pain stops when you quite struggling. The latter part of the month holds some nice rewards.

Aquarius--Aren't you glad you've got Aquarius in your chart? It's a good month, if not a great one, at least half of this month. The other half of the month, you should stay home. But which half is which? I'll leave that for you to determine, but I'll bet you've already got a clue....

Pisces--Since I don't have a small farm animal to eviscerate, I'll be forced to rely on astrology. Jupiter is still the lucky "star" and still in your sign. And Venus brings some welcome romance entertainment, later in the month. Looks like it's a good month no matter what.
