Coffee in bed

Morning coffee:
I tend towards, on average, 2, 8-oz. servings of coffee in the morning (4 or 6 2 oz.), really, then – maybe – a double espresso in the afternoon. The real culprit? About 3 liters of ice tea.

New stars:
Obviously, of the star variety.

Much Ado About Nothing:
“What though care killed a cat, thou hast
Mettle enough in there to kill care.”
Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing (V,i,136)

Maya Tarot deck XULTUN TAROT
The Xultun Tarot subtitled: The Maya Tarot Deck by Peter Balin. I picked this up in an occult store, many years ago. It’s a one-off deck, and this deck predates the inclusion in the US Games catalog. Originally published in 1976, the deck combines some pretty heavy Mayan symbolism with the traditional 78-card western tarot. Which is weirder, yet, to combine two systems that are, literally, worlds apart. The deck, I’m unsure of the order, is either the companion to the book, or the book is the companion to the deck. The imagery is heavily Mayan. Meso-American. This deck was published by Arcana Publishing, in Wilmont, WI. Printed in the USA. The cards themselves are virtually new, feels like the deck was never even shuffled. There is no booklet, but rather leaflet that describes the artwork and symbolism, in short.

This is the international edition, FWIW, with keywords in German, English, Spanish, French and Italian. (Hint: I don’t know if there was really any other edition.)

The cards are fascinating, and from the text, the cards can be combined into a larger graphic.

The box is slightly damaged, but the hole doesn’t go all the way through. The cards themselves are like new. 78 Tarot cards plus two extra cards of some status.

I can’t believe some people still worry about online transactions. The real world is far more scary.
