Neuromancer by William Gibson

Neuromancer by William Gibson

Revisited an old text, a seminal novel, in any form. This time I was reading a digital copy, but I have a nice, big hardback in my library, to match all the other hardbacks by the same author. Think my original copy got passed off, numerous times, the usual, “You got to read this, man…”

Dense text. Strong, evocative, but quite dense, and as much a stylist as an author.

One scene, drug-addicted character, one scene, always stuck with me. The power of the written word.

Neuromancer

Funny note about a serious text? Although credited with the term, “Cyberspace,” the book itself was written on a typewriter.

“And they lived happily ever after.”
