It’s like a list of items that I wanted to clean up when I got home, just more odd bits and pieces from the digital nomad lifestyle?
Stardust:

The Stardust Motel sign is a personal favorite. But then, I’m an astrologer and a reader of the night sky. It’s what I do. Stardust is like, a form of my medium. The motel is long gone, there’s trailer park there now, and not much of trailer park, at that. The highway leads to Valentine and Van Horn, out of Marfa. Turn around, head the other direction, though towards Alpine.
Welcome to Alpine:
Alpine is, obviously, home to Sul Ross State University. Not that it means much, although, I do know a few folks who graduated there. Oddly enough. The coffee house is now an Austin-scale Italian place. Owned by an Aries. Who humored me.

Hippies use back door:
I was looking for food, perhaps a small bite of road food. Seeing as how it was long ride home. This cafe wasn’t open on Monday, but I do so love the sign. True? Or not? I don’t know. Welcome to Alpine.

Ozona:
Not so long ago, there was a TV serial that featured a segment, purportedly set in Ozona, TX. The fact that the town is located on I-10, the TV folks got that right. Ends there, too. Similarities end there. Look at the sign. Look at the background. Arid, semi-arid, the leftover shoulder from the Hill Country. Not exactly desert, but then, not exactly the lush vegetation depicted on TV.

I’m certainly not the first person to observe that the Hollywood version of our namesakes, and the real world version, those two aren’t always the same. Although, as a theory, this could be ample evidence for parallel universes.
