Memorial day

Bill Maher’s “France”.

Unrelated news:
From a trusted source.

Roadkill:
The fishing trip, wrap-up? Started on gray morning, on the south side, pulling out, a neighbor was scooping up a dead squirrel.

“Breakfast taco?”

Aren’t we all comedians at first light.

First fish on was within minutes of dropping anchor. Hardhead. Then a second one. Then that small red drum, then a larger one, then more hardheads and a couple of stingrays, too. And a single blue crab with one arm, who fast became bait for the keepers. Three or four redfish, two keepers, headed for the grill.

Redfish on the half-shell.
