Price of Gas

With the overwhelming news coverage of the evilest man on the planet, his apparent death, the news flashed a local company’s logo, and asked if the price of gas was going up.

That one ‘energy’ company? Used to be an oil company? All their raw material, billions of barrels of oil? None of it is from the Middle East.

So why does that gas price go up, too?

Mission Concepcion.

I don’t know. California is an oil-producing state; in Southern California the *cheapest* gas today is $4.10. Gas has been over $4 a gallon for weeks. And the cheap gas often is of very poor quality (one wonders about its provenance). I’m thinking that retirement may save me a lot in transportation costs, enough to be significant. $40 to fill a 10-gallon tank? Outrageous! And still the electric car is buried as deep as Big Oil can manage.–>end rant<–
