Fishing Flounder

Flounder
A Texas Trifecta for inshore fishing is Redfish, Flounder, Trout.

Sort of did it on Saturday, but there was only one fish in the box, at the end of the day.

Caught several undersized Reds. Always fun, the tawny, bronze back as it breaks the surface, the spot on the tail, the struggle. Good stuff.

I set one line, under a cork, right at the edge of a point — two channels converged, and that where we picked up the flounder. Right size for dinner.

Always interesting when the guide has several more degrees than I do.

Doctor’s Orders, fishing with a PhD marine biologist.

Had fresh flounder for dinner, Saint Peters style, in lemon, capers, butter and garlic.

I’m willing to guess that the fish was delicious and the conversation interesting. With you, I imagine the conversation is always interesting.
