If you’re reading this, then you obviously made it through the first month of this year. That’s good, so far. At least you were able to get something, right? Or is that get something right? The celestial events this month include ê Saturn moving into Pisces for a couple of years, and the messenger of the gods, µ Mercury, going retrograde. In general, watch for the usual mayhem and communication problems associated with µœ, after the 11th.
Aries: if you could only sit back and let others do all the hard work, then you could find the time to enjoy the show. Chances are, though, you can’t take a back seat to anyone, so you can’t just enjoy the ride. Rest assured that some of last month’s pressure is off your backside.
Taurus: the sooner you quit looking for the easy way out, the easier you will find your tasks at hand. Appearances can be deceiving; look beneath the surface. If it hasn’t happened already, you might find some relationships dissolving around you. What is old and outdated will be replaced by something more current; it’s just the change which is difficult.
Gemini: it looks as if this would be good month to move since a change of scenery can improve your outlook. Or maybe go skiing. Conventional astrology says to be wary of signing any new leases under a µœ retrograde Mercury.
Cancer: was last month hectic or what? If you answered, “Or what,” then this next month will be slow and mellow. Pay close attention to people in authority roles, i.e., cops and lawyers. Did you look for a new car yet? Your mode of transportation is in for a change.
Leo: some of the struggle is still affecting you, even at this late date. It’s as if you have a five week hangover from the new year celebration. You’re in a precarious situation now, half moving forward, and half moving back. Build up your strength again and party on!
Virgo: look for problems with men and women this month. This is not gender-specific: the real problem, starting this month, lies with the way you deal with authority figures in your life.
Libra: if anything negative happens, then it must be some one else’s fault. This month you can look forward to some changes in your income, hopefully positive changes. It feels like it would be a good time for some open, constructive rebellion on your part-attack the established order with new ideas and new solutions to old problems.
Scorpio: this would be a good month to consider long-term investments. Make an attempt to consider both the spiritual and physical side of the issue at hand: ask yourself, “Self, what’s the big picture look like?”
Sagittarius: looks as if you will find your stubborn will at odds with the world at some point. Be careful: the world usually wins and you don’t need anymore bruises at this juncture in your life. It would seem to be a good time to take stock and assess your direction. Get your goals back on track.
Capricorn: the party in your sign has moved onto other signs and other times. Now, it’s time to consider cleaning up after the astrology party-put the shattered pieces of your life back together and get on with the business at hand. The goals you have set can be reached.
Aquarius: the problem with all of the good energy that begins this month is negated by a recalcitrant planet, fouling up all your good efforts. But µ Mercury is a fleeting influence in your life; make an attempt to persevere. There is beauty to behold this month, too. If you ever felt like starting a garden, then this is the time to get your plots in order. It’s a tough row to hoe, though.
Pisces: Saturn, the great teacher has come to mellow Pisces. Look for a change in your spiritual principles, and perhaps find an overdue increase in income-that’s the good news-the difficult piece here is that you will have to work for that increase. Time to roll up your sleeves and go to work. (Work is a four letter word, you know.)
