something inherently tragic

There’s something inherently tragic about watching a good friend suffer at the hands, the whims, and moods, of his intended. What’s worse is watching a full – sized, full – strength, strong – armed fellow lose all his self – respect and suddenly turn into a large, sniveling child. I fully expect to see his low lip quivering before the week is up, but stay tuned, it could change any moment, it’s a Gemini and Virgo, two mutable signs. Makes me glad I am bereft of the company of a single companion right now. Makes life a lot easier, except for the cat, but as long as I feed her, she doesn’t require too much attention. I get to go to watch standup tonight, and that’s a welcome relief. Relationships, even tragic ones, all seem to have a comic flavor to them, in my eyes.
