Long-lost data

Woke up, got pushed out of a warm bed by a hungry trailer-mate (the cat), and clicked through on a news item.

Lost map of the heavens, hiding in plain sight. Which included a good link with definitions.

Road bits
Travel is sometimes enlightening. Sometimes, though, it’s just work. Pleasant work, but “work” nonetheless.

Unrelated luck:
I handed Saturday’s quick pick lottery ticket over to the clerk at the convenience store, “Here, check this one,” because I hadn’t had a chance to check it online. Three bucks. That’s a coffee, a water, and another ticket.

Unrelated road notes:
Check it out, I’ve done this before. And, to be honest, I love it. Used to be that Scorpio officer at the airport in El Paso. This time? It was a border patrol officer (that’s Fed, I think) – pistol-packing mama. There’s just something that so sexy about a girl in a uniform with a gun on her hip. Might just be me, though.

Just trying to make the day a little more surreal.
