Belted Kingfisher

Observing nature, what I like to do, I spotted this feller the other afternoon. Not sure of what I saw, I looked it up on the inter-web thing, thinking it was a Fisher King, only I was dyslectic. Belted Kingfisher.

The next question, is this resident, or a transient? And if it’s a migratory bird, does he have a green card?

He had the crest, it was a boy-bird.
