"My resolutions’ plac’d, and I have nothing
Of woman in me; now from head to foot
I am marble-constant, now the fleeting moon
No planet of mine."
Shakespeare’s Antony & Cleopatra (V.ii.290-3)
One sentence scopes. It’s a Gemini affectation.
Gemini: The second week of June Gemini is just the best, and yet I’m sure you’ve heard a similar type of declaration from other points, but in this case, it’s really true, and you know that you can trust me because I know of what I speak when I’m writing about Gemini, but that’s not going to make any of the news this week any more palatable, which isn’t to say that there’s not a few good points — birthdays and all — but not everyone will be in quite the celebratory mode that you’re in, despite the fact that everyone should be a party mode since Gemini is the number one sign for just such activities; however, that being duly noted, Mars and Venus are lending a certain fiery character to the Gemini brain since Mars, visible well after midnight this week, and Venus, a clearly an evening star, are both in fire signs, and that leaves Gemini in an almost enviable position, in between the two love planets, but there’s a caution, I should mention, and it goes with this whole birthday flavor of the times, times being what they are, and that flavor is all about the purported smoky flavor that comes with certain sauces, some brand of BBQ sauce, for example, that flavor might be artificially induced, like, read the list of ingredients, right, and there’s no real smoke in the sauce, but the hint of that seasoning still exists, and this might be trickery, or it might be real, and only your Gemini self can really be the judge, but the warning is still there, is it fire-flavor for birthday, or is it an imitation?
Cancer: Is it an imitation or is it real might be the best way to articulate a question — should be the question — that concerns my fine little Cancer darlings because the planet voted most likely to be associated with Gemini — Mercury — is in your sign, poking along, and Mercury is merely a harbinger of what’s to come, but what’s to come isn’t here yet, and therefore, I’d like to suggest, anyway, that what’s to come is being reported by Mercury, but the sun, as of yet, is still in Gemini, and that would indicate the time isn’t quite upon us when we can celebrate the fullest of the Cancer potential for amusing stories, anecdotes and so forth; however, the sense that something might be hyper and hyperbole instead of real, that’s still going to be the question, and how your sweet Cancer self undertakes the way to tell the real from the surreal apart, therein lies — or is it lays — the question that begs to be answered, and there’s just not a discernible answer, not while the sun is in the Cancer 12th house, which, according to some astrology texts, is not such a good place for it to be, not so much.
Leo: Not so much is the term I hear bantered about quite a lot these days as it addresses the same kind of week you’re facing in the greatest Fixed Fire Sign, and that would definitely be Leo, and it’s really just Venus sneaking into and warming up the coolness factor of the Leo’s heart, but therein is the conundrum, too, because you’re unsure that you want your Leo heart warmed up yet there’s Venus, as the evening star, or an evening star, is trying to warm you up, and yet, there’s still certain amount of reticence and resilience to acquiesce to the gentle warming trend of Venus, and what do you think you should do about this sort trend, as it really isn’t time, yet, for the Leo parties to start; however, I think you can celebrate, just a little, and enjoy what happens even if it is a freakish afternoon experience.
Virgo: It was a freakish afternoon for me, since I was wandering downtown streets, and instead of not having a shirt on, I was wearing my shirt since the skies had showered, ever so briefly, just moments before, and it wasn’t so much rain, but the cloud cover and the coolness, there again, I was trying to protect my phone from moisture, so it was a little weird, me in a shirt, however, I noticed that people responded to me in a different fashion, as in, a cop waved at me, like he knew me (he didn’t) and then there was a car that stopped while I crossed in a crosswalk, and the driver, he shot me a peace sign, while I lumbered across the street, and separately, these experiences wouldn’t seem odd, but together, it appeared like everyone was friendly, and maybe I looked like someone they knew, or something, as I’m not sure, but I was thinking about that afternoon’s interaction, and me, doing something slightly different, like wearing a shirt, and how that seemed to make people react to me in a different fashion, or after fashion, I suppose, would be the best way to put it, and anyway, this has a lot to do with Virgo, since the planets are toying with you, but not in such a bad way, it’s just that there’s going to seem to be some aspect that’s not really different to you, but other people perceive it as different, and maybe, just maybe, their collective reactions aren’t so bad.
Libra: Their collective reactions aren’t so bad, not if you pause long enough to stop and consider what those reactions just might be, or how this all stacks up for the little Libra slice of the sky since Libra is stuck between a rowdy rock (Mr. Mars) and a sweet soft spot, that would be Miss Venus, or, to some, Ms. Venus, and there again, we come across what the problem is since most of the machinations are from Mars and that leaves a lasting impression, yet, with the tactful use of the Venus-like energies, which are available, while she floats along in Leo, consider making an effort to tap some of her useful influence, albeit slight as it might be since she is there, and she can lend a fiery little hand that would do much to mitigate the untoward and untimely actions of Mars as he pokes through Aries, again, opposite your sweet little Libra self, and one more time now, the easiest way to deal with ferocious Mars energies, particularly in opposition like he is, is to tap into the weaker but nicer side of Venus, and use what Venus can bring to ease your way through the rest of the week.
Scorpio: Ease your way through the rest of the week as a number of people you encounter are going to be stressed by the influence of the Mars action, way over yonder in Aries, and that’s no reason to let it get you, per se, but I would warn you — the good Scorpio that you are — that now is a time to lay low, and keep out of harm’s way as there’s more than the usual number of unhappy people who are definitely gunning for you, and it might not be an in altogether pleasant manner that these other signs come looking for your Scorpio self since you’re in the hot seat, so to speak, and that’s the caution part of the week’s missive; however, it’s not without a way out of this mess, and when I suggest you lay low, what is a good idea is not to give yourself up as a target for some other sign’s ire as that’s what’s going to happen if you advertise too much, see, it’s simply a case of keeping to your Scorpio self rather than indulging in a little self-promotion, even though, and I’m sure you’ll agree, you do deserve it.
Sagittarius: I’m sure you’ll agree, we (us) Sagittarius types could really use a break and as much as I would like the heavens to just open up and shower us with glad tidings, or better yet, gold coins, that’s not exactly the way this one works as there’s still a disturbing little element that doesn’t quite line up right with our chart, which, if I could change, I would, but I’m just saying that there’s the tiniest amount of friction where friction shouldn’t be present and how we choose to deal with that minute source of consternation is what’s so important, as it’s not really that much, but it’s like a piece of dirt, just some soft dirt that got spooled up on one of my fishing reels, and the dirt itself wasn’t much problem but then the fishing line — monofilament on that reel — just got a little sticky, and it wasn’t so much of a problem that just a little extra attention couldn’t fix the problem, but it was a sticking point, that, and therefore, it caused a problem with the way the line would un-spool, and therein was the real problem, or reel problem, and all I had to do was un-spool the whole reel, and just feed the line back on, in a more orderly manner, which, if you think about it, could be applied to that one little problem the rest of the Sagittarius are facing, not so big that a few extra minutes can’t fix it.
Capricorn: A few extra minutes can’t fix it, and that’s what you’re going to face this time since this is a problem that’s been lingering and like traffic stopped up at a malfunctioning stoplight, and here you are, in the car, fuming, and there’s nothing you can do about it, other than, of course, an obvious option of leaning on the horn, as if that would really do any good, and I’d like to think that it doesn’t do a lot of good other than irritate other drivers, and what’s a day when you can’t piss someone off, but that’s not really the question, now is it; other than you’d like to share some of the pain and angst that you’re forced to suffer through, and you really do want to reach out and share, but now’s not the time for reaching out, but rather, it’s a good time for figuring how you’re going to start getting all this new material into gear as the moon gets smaller and smaller, and then, all of a sudden, she’s going to shift you into a new gear, fast forward motion, next week, but you’ve got to get ready, while you’re stuck in traffic, that’s a good time to plan and plot.
Aquarius: A good time to plan and plot starts now, which, really, isn’t the case as the time to engage in long-range forecasting should begin next week, but given that Mercury is in Cancer, then a time for looking ahead should be now, as you’re prepping some material that will be used later, and as such, I’d like to think that you’d like to think about the Aquarius future and there’s no time better than this last quarter-moon, as a time to start thinking about what you’re going to be doing in a week, in two weeks, and then, even further down the line, like next month, as this whole Gemini-related energy gets your Aquarius gray matter working in a good direction, then too, there’s the problem that other people don’t get why you’re not as disturbed as they are, so to make the best use of this time, consider doing that long-range planning, and I’m thinking about the July 4th party-time that’s merely a month away at this junction of the time-space continuum, and you could start making plans for that, now.
Pisces: Making plans for that, now, is the idea that I broached with more than one Pisces friend, to see how this would fare, and what I came up with was that it wasn’t really the right way to approach the energy, see, it’s more a function of the Sun in Gemini, which creates a bit of tension, and perhaps this is tension that you’re not really enjoying too much since it’s not the fun kind of stress, more like dull ache behind the eyes, but someplace in front of the temporal lobes, and that’s like a migraine, but it’s not, not really, it’s just the Sun doing a little dance that’s destined to — eventually — bring about some pleasant changes; however, it will seem that those good changes appear to be a long, long way off, and that’s just the way this one goes, but there is hope, and I’ll be the first to remind you that this will resolve in your Pisces favor, but not quite yet, and you might try a Zen-like approach to get your way, which, as I’ve suggested will eventually pay off, just not quite as quickly as you’d like, but I should think, that by now, you’d be used to the way.
Aries: I should think, that by now, you’d be used to the way Mars is treating you — he’s just frying right along — and there’s a weird hint that comes from disparate locations, one, from the Sun in Gemini, which, by all accounts, should mean that there would twice as much Martian fun, and the other influence is from Saturn himself, as he and Mars line up in way that spells out the possibility of you actually staying on track for the time being, sticking to what you were working on before, and that, with this Mars and Saturn alignment, you should be able to stay a little more focused, but we should weight this against the Sun’s Gemini influence as well, which would tend to double the excited energies and thereby compounding and confusing the issue at hand, at some point, you should have a firm grip on what this means, too, as that Gemini-inspired focal point, which really should be more than one, so that’s focal points, is all over the place, yet like a prism in reverse, your Aries self can reduce the multifaceted inputs streaming into your quadrant and use that Mars (plus Saturn) mental capacity to bring all those disparate elements together into a cohesive whole, and stick to just one item that needs to be completed.
Taurus: Stick to just one item that needs to be completed and see if that doesn’t help ease the pathway through this week’s morass of planets, alignments, oppositions, and oddly enough, a little cosmic tickle, which, to me, indicates that there’s a simpler solution to a problem that you’ve let, in your own, Taurus-based mindset, you’ve let this one problem grow exponentially instead of dealing with it in typically efficient manner, like I would expect you to, and, for that matter, you’d expect yourself to deal with it in an officious style; however, you let this one little problem slide for a bit, not that I can say ignoring a certain problem doesn’t count as a solution for me, not that I can take any credit for inventing that route to a happy solution, but I’ll admit, it has worked for me, but that doesn’t matter, and in this one situation you’re facing, it looks like you did purposefully not pay any attention to the problem, and that has created a little bit bigger "situation" that requires some kind of attention, and like me, especially now that Gemini is in full force, it’s time to consider that you can bring all that Taurus attention to bear on that one problem, and hopefully, you can fix the situation, but perhaps, you’re previous inactivity might really pay off, but I still think there’s that one problem, instead of two, and just because the Sun is in the next sign, over, it’s time to focus on one solution, since it’s all about timing, which means the second week of June Gemini is just the best.
