They said

I don’t care what they said, it was okay in Chicago. Or a suburb, really, with a preponderance of Sagittarius, and I’ll bemoan my fates with the weather at a later date. The only real problem was cab fare. Got in a cab, looked like the star Will Smith, rather good-looking, at that, and the driver mumbled it was time and a half because it was in another city, from O’Hare to Skokie. Worked out to about $60. I think I got taken.

For a poor, little country-fried horse-whipped urchin from a small town, looking out the window, Chicago has a big and beautiful skyline. Wow, so that’s what a real city looks like.

Trees were down and power was out on stoplights, Friday afternoon, but that was all much better by Saturday.
