User Generated Content

Latest buzzword grouping of phrases that is totally worthless? Yeah, look at the title. User-generated content means, well, like a place where you can post to a blog, only you don’t really own the blog’s rights.

You don’t own your own words.

As one buddy has recently discovered, the End User License Agreement/Terms of Service (the fine print) has pejorative spin to it all. The good news is that a proprietary site like I’ve got? No problem. I don’t have to worry about the content.

I have been fighting a losing battle with robots that sign themselves up for the blog’s various features, but once again, I’m still on top of that. Mostly.

    I’m waiting for the day when the robots set up the blog sites, create their own blogs and then spam each other. Give them something to do while we humans continue to do our best to remain fallible.
