Mea culpa:
I was working on an upcoming horoscope, and before I even really got started, just barely got the Aries (first sign in the zodiac) chart cast, and I got thinking, as I was looking at the paperwork. Astrological paperwork.

My problem is that there are certain preconceived notion, rules, conventions and tenets that are accepted for astrology. I studied long and hard, grasped the concepts, and then I’ve developed a whole school of thought, on my own. Different meanings based on observed characteristics. Different spins based what I’ve seen – or given my disposition – what I’d like to see.

At least I’m honest. Now, I will get back to work. Bending those rules to suit my own needs. Rewriting definitions. And doing my best to piss a few people off.

Something about people with certain sun signs, moon signs, sun/moon combos–in one’s lifetime it seems to be that you meet people, over and over, with similar astrological influences. Almost as though you and they have to learn to understand each other. With me, it’s Cancer people. Over and over. No water in my chart, anywhere, and it’s taken me six decades to understand and appreciate them. And to help them understand that when I need privacy and solitude, I’m not rejecting them, it’s just a temporary state of being to recharge my batteries. Outgoing, sociable Sagittarius needs loneliness. Where are the fishing pole and boat when I need them?

I’m still not sure I “get” it (these water sign crabby people), but at long last I know how not to hurt their feelings and how to understand their loving hearts–and tell them so.

Kind of a “meta” astrology of not just one chart, but one’s chart intersecting with many others over a number of years.

On the other hand, maybe it’s a bunch of new age hooey, and I’m full of it. Sagittarians often are, as I know only too well.
