Weekend at Grace’s

Which really isn’t that true, I mean, it’s Bubba’s trailer, where I stay, but maybe that’s just a guy thing. Grace is the boss.

Saturday morning, one reader (Scorpio) asked me if I was seeing a lot of Scorpio folks with health issues. I made polite observations. At the end of the day, I looked over my sign-in sheet. Scorpio, Virgo, Scorpio, Virgo, Virgo, Virgo, Scorpio, Virgo. Coincidence? I think so.

What would Jimmy Buffett do?

Getting ready:
Another London map.

Saturday evening, we wandered down to the State Line BBQ. Part of the restaurant is in Texas, part in New Mexico. Cute name, good brisket. As we were shown to our table, the hostess said, “Follow me.”

“You’re supposed to say, ‘Walk this way,'” I explained.

“Isn’t that a song by Aerosmith?”

From the garden: a Lotus.

I’ve always liked the lotus as the symbol for beauty arising from the muck and the water up above into the air, blossoming into a beautiful flower. As from our subconscious, through the ego, our consciousness rises into the light of understanding. New Age enough for you? Actually, it’s a millenia-old concept…everything old is new again as each generation seems to think it has invented it all. We who love history and philosophy know better.
