Rumors and half-truths, certainly better than hard, cold facts? Sure. I was texting a Galveston friend, not born on the island and not currently living there.
ZZ Top had an early song about the Balinese. It was also a location in several pieces of literary value. Or value, in one form or another.
“The Balinese. Gone.” I wrote.
“Nope. Just piled in front of the What-a-Burger.”
