The side project and its portal yielded a theme and my answer? Rebook.
The image is from a phone camera, taken inside the security barrier at the San Antonio airport. I was headed someplace, west, be my guess, and I saw that as I emerged from the coffee shop, which was conveniently located right next to the book store.
But isn’t that a little weird? “Here, we’ll recycle your book – for free.” What a nice offer. Resell? Donate and take the tax write-off? Not that I’d be suspicious, but I have a number of outlets for used books. Friends, family, cohorts, enemies, and so forth. I tend to try and resell the books, when I can. Either suggest and pass on to avid readers, or possibly repurpose as landfill. Although, I’ve found, just because I don’t like a book, doesn’t mean it’s not good.

London’s Tower Bridge, pop classic. Katrina y The Waves. The visual background for most of the video, something there. What was I thinking about? I titled it “Flashback Cafe,” but other than images from around the industrial area – places that are now high rent – even to the point of the City of London has a new structure there? All of that, back then, thirty years ago?
What was I thinking about, it was funny. Or pointed, I don’t know. Saw the video in the mall, waiting on a buddy who was looking at running shoes. How that ties to “80’s hair,” and Red Chuck Taylor’s?
