Libraries

A web-zine’s look at cool libraries. In South Texas, there’s one. Visually striking and quite colorful, too.

Did they miss San Antonio’s downtown Public Library?

Thanks for the links. Dazzling though the blob was more on the repulsive side, don’t you think? Too bad they left out San Antonio’s. Unusual.

The architecture is called, I may have this wrong but, I think, it’s “Mexican Modern,” which emphasizes bold lines and bright colors. The library, City Nap and the Museo Alameda, all examples, I think, of the influence(s).

I like bold, bright colors and clean lines, but that shade of yellow…my mother used to have an unprintable adjective to describe it. OTOH, I like the library.
