Purple Doorway:
The image itself is a purple doorway, the side of a building, clearly visible from the street. It’s fascinated me for a while, yet, even though I’ve taken several dozen pictures, this one illustrates the problem best.

It’s close. It’s not quite it, but it’s close. The essence of the wall, the texture, the patterns, the light, the shade, the essential wall. Points to larger issue with me. There are images, scenes, I take an almost identical photo, over and over, trying to capture something that I see – or sense – and that I find meaning. Speaks to me, attracts me, tickles me, something. Motivates me. It’s the same image, over and over, again and again. Very often, there’s some kind of deeper meaning to casual image. Or not. Some times, it’s nothing more than me trying to capture a particular feeling, and that is missed. Or I look at the image and wonder if I missed what I was aiming for in the first place.

Coffee Notes:
The biggest problem?

I don’t get it. Why is too fine a grind a problem? Plugs up the filter?
