Apple Toys

Love me my Apple hardware and stuff. I live in an environment that is completely free of a certain large company’s software products. None. Kind of cool, like that.

Roll out this last week of new Apple hardware. Much analysis on the inter-web tubes. One piece missing, or that I haven’t seen yet, sort of a retro musing?

Keyboard. Apple introduced a new “new” keyboard that’s slimmer, smaller, lighter, and basically, it’s a standard-issue Mac keyboard sans number pad.

The original Macintosh, with that 128K of RAM and a smaller footprint, and its weird, Graphical User Interface? That had a very similar kind of keyboard. That was when most keyboards had the numbers on the right-hand side. Still do.
