At a glance, month of March 2009:
Venus completes an orbit around the Sun every 260 days, and roughly every year, year and a half, Venus turns retrograde, where it appears to move backwards compared to the other planets’ directions. Venus is an evening star for the first part of the month and towards the Equinox, Venus shifts to being a morning star. Mars will be clearly visible right before sun up, as he warms his way through the signs.
The Spring Equinox – the annual starting point – Aries – when the Sun moves into the Tropical Zodiac Sign of Aries – that occurs March 20.
The first couple of weeks, while the Sun is still in Pisces, it’s time to figure out what the message is. Pisces time is good for figuring what the next direction should be and it’s an excellent time to tap one’s own intuition in order to pick that new direction. Aries is Cardinal Sign, a Fire Sign. Aries energy is all about starting out in a new direction. Use the first part of the month decide a direction and once the Aries fire heats up, think about what steps have ot occur in order to make it happen.
There’s a caution though, as less 20% of the population has Venus retrograde in the natal chart. As such, it’s less a time about aesthetics, and feelings, and more a time about plotting and planning.
There will be romantic bumps and hiccups. That much is sure. Knowing that Venus is backwards in a Cardinal Fire Sign? That helps. Knowledge may be power, but it’s also useful to know when to stand back, or, at the very least, stay out of the line of fire. The Aries energy makes for quick, rapid-fire decisions, judgements, and sometimes inconclusive conclusions. Just remember as the month unrolls, don’t let it unravel, too.
