Jury duty

Second time I’ve been called. That’s the problem with being a registered voter. However, Jury Duty is an integral part of being a responsible citizen. I take that citizen thing seriously. Very serious.

But this pisses me right off:

“All persons entering the courtroom should be dressed in clothing befitting the dignity and solemnity of the court proceedings (no shorts).”

This is South Texas. I’ve been in shorts except for one cold night in North Austin? Pretty much year round. Shorts, that is. I’d wear nice shorts, with factory hems and stuff. Put on my nice sandals. Clean shirt.

No shorts.
Here?
That’s just wrong.
Wrong.
So wrong.
So very wrong.
So very, very wrong.
