That title and a slightly modified version of this image will appear in a few weeks, over on the side project, but I couldn’t pass up the original, in its original color. Truck caught my eye as I was stopped at a corner. The vibrant purple, the tag line, the faded Peter-Built logo, all red was washed out, but the deep purple luster was still there…

I watched as the truck turned a corner, pulling a piece of heavy equipment on its bed. Truck stopped. As the driver unlimbered from the other side, I snapped a pair of surreptitious images, only hoping that something would turn out.

The sunlight, the light dancing, the name. The reflection in the luster. The name.

Some days, I find the weirdest stuff brings me small joys.

More like a quiet, big grin.
