Signs

There’s got to be more to the series, but that’s a starting point. It’s not the first empty sign I’ve got, and at this moment, I haven’t located that other one image. I just find some visual poetry to sign that doesn’t holds any letters.

This one was in Del Rio, TX. Under last summer’s sudden hurricane spin-off rains. Surely meant something at the time. I swear I’m starting a new thematic drive with nothing but empty signs.

Marked as a Sky Friday image – kramerwetzel.com – but there’s another element. I’m still not sure what.

    Perhaps this was a motel, liquor store or gas station. It is amazing that underneath the brightest and colorful signs is the same pedestrian steel. Yet the basic sight allows us to imagine the colorful signage that once existed…
