Eclipse Cycles

Stardust Motel

Stardust Motel

Eclipse Cycles, Solstice, Travel Tales: Monday’s video message contained carefully plotted advice for dealing with the fallout from the eclipse, which had a trigger point of, like, 29 degrees of Sagittarius/Gemini, with concomitant and resultant pressure felt across all the Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces).

Side-bar item: Taxonomy
The heading, Stardust Motel, refers to astrological meanderings in the web-journal, kramerwetzel.com.

That first paragraph, I’ve addressed some of this before. An eclipse was, at one time, considered “bad” in astrological terms. Certainly shows up in Shakespeare as a malevolent intention. See that passage from King Lear.

Is this eclipse really bad? Depends on how resistant to change a person might be.

This is late, sort of my astrological equivalent of Monday morning armchair quarterbacking, but here’s the synopsis, in short form: the Sun is the basic “self” while the Moon is “emotions.”

My observations suggest that the rational mind frequently gets over-ruled by the rampant and often irrational emotional control center. Feelings beat rational thought. The problems derived from such decisions is where the trouble starts. While I’m in favor of emotional decisions, make many myself, the time to put off a decision – or be willing to revisit – under an eclipse influence? That’s part of the recipe for success.

There are ways to effectively handle this energy, again, this was covered in the Monday video.

The terminology I used was slightly different, but the meaning was targeted at that eclipse energy.

Eclipses aren’t bad or good. They introduce an inherently unstable energy, and the symbolism, that should be clear, with the Moon and the Sun blocking each other, further flavored by the signs they are in, respectively, and, in this case, the added impact of occurring on the Winter Solstice.

There’s roughly an 18 year cycle to eclipse patterns. Cast forward by casting backward.

With this eclipse, in think I covered this in the horoscopes, it is about illuminating an emotional issue that needs attention. While it appears to be a call to action, too, with the delightfully subversive nature of the pattern, maybe that isn’t what is required. Or maybe, not quite yet.

The winter solstice occurs when, in my world, the Sun moves into Tropical Zodiac Sign of Capricorn. Around here? Shortest day of the year.

In old mythology, it’s when the Sun ‘stood still,’ marking the return of the Sun gods, spring, warmth, or, in my current personal favorite, the lords and ladies of the light. The darkness will gradually be vanquished one more time. Take that, Pluto.

Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, the original Roman title for Solstice, and part of the origins of the current traditions? The Saturnalia.

I can’t make this stuff up.

This entry’s original title?

“I got nothing.”

That title, talking points, the topics?

San Patricio (County) Pepper pR0n & Xmas Redfish.

It just hit me. Sun/Moon in gemini, sagittarius. And guess who has sun in sag and jupiter retro in gemini? Just guess. No wonder my cage is being rattled! But awareness of a situation is nine-tenths of the way towards dealing with it, don’t you think? Forwarned is fore armed (or four armed or something–image of Kali, goddess of death and destruction).

Kali, Kali, four-armed, blue? Swords and hatchets in her hands? I’m thinking we dated, a while back.
