This webpage is set in a typeface that’s a derivative of Times, which is named for The Times newspaper.
However, the font was adjusted and manipulated by the English printer, Roberts, in the late 17th Century, adding a fanciful series of serifs. Later, it was thought that this was the work of the Italian engraver, however, subsequent research indicates it was an acolyte of the original type designer and printer, the Germans, not the Italians, who further refined the shape and texture of the font.
Chosen for its readability as well as the gentle yet playful arch radius and sensual curve of the ascenders and descenders, this font, in its modern variant, we hope you will find that it is buttery, with a slight citrus finish and woodsy overtones.
