One of the more fun aspects, visually, to me, of Santa Fe, is art. It’s everywhere. There are times when I can’t fathom the meaning. The dappled light of the aspen leaves, shimmering across the sidewalk, about three blocks east of the Plaza, it was the closest parking spot, and looking down, there was an icon, or icon-like, or maybe a pair of symbols. I have no clue. The shadows just accentuated the accidental nature of the image.

The artist knew what he meant to say – we are merely left to ponder…
Stumbling across art that you didn’t expect to find–how delightful!
SHADOW DANCE
Shadows here and shadows there,
Shadows, shadows everywhere!
Shadows left and shadows right;
Shadows dancing through the night!
Shadows crouching on the wall;
Shadows spring and shadows fall
On the unsuspecting guest,
Who thought shadows offered rest!

Shadows here and here
Interesting ShadowShot. This portrait on the sidewalk seems so random. Is the girl in the painting lighting up a cigarette? Happy SSS.
I think you must live in an exciting place if you are surrounded by art!
Sorry, I have no idea about the image, I just notice it and snapped the shot. I can’t answer about what the charact is doing, or not doing…. I’m not sure.
It is nice to be surrounded by so much art. I love coming across random images like this!
That’s what art is all about, you don’t have to understand it, jut enjoy it. Great photo, the colour accentuated by the grey surrounding shadows.
I love this….I’m glad you stopped to capture it through your lens. The dappled shadow DOES accentuate the art.
