HostGator.com Update

No good deed ever goes unpunished.

Previously.

About the same time that post rolled out, really just a reflection of the December numbers, the server software crapped out.

There was a load of fragmented back-ups, doubling the disk use, and the software was slowly eroding, which lead to eventually stopping one of the sites.

It was a series of bad mistakes, faulty updates, and missed communications. Usually, the tech support at HG is most excellent.

I didn’t shamelessly pursue the solution, lulled into a false sense of security by previous experiences, nothing short of quick, miraculous service. Heroic, even.

Not so much. Five days later…

Should be all fixed.

Any problems, give me a shout.

From the fine print:
If a party asserts Force Majeure as an excuse for failure to perform the party’s obligation, then the nonperforming party must prove that the party took reasonable steps to minimize delay or damages caused by foreseeable events, that the party substantially fulfilled all non-excused obligations, and that the other party was timely notified of the likelihood or actual occurrence (Force Majeure).
