Politics

I stay as far away from politics as possible. However, two good friends got into a heated discussion.

One friend is what I call a “Fox New Republican.”

Imagine, Right Wing. Probably considered a gun nut by some of my Austin friends. Oh well. Among other activities, I like going out and plinking at targets in the boondocks with these folks. Nothing relieves aggravation more than a couple of clips of 40s through a handgun. All legal and stuff.

The other friend, with whom I am much closer aligned, politically, is Left Wing. Probably considered a commie-fag by the Right Wing. Democratic, tree-hugging, liberal weenie. Too far to the Left to be moderate.

I watched, in horror, as those two entered a discussion about politics.

George Bernard Shaw, I think it was him, he said it best:

“I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.”
