Bernie

What an excellent movie. Nothing short of sheer brilliance in story-telling and film-making. Stunning star power with a couple of big names, and gave me pause.

When did I write about the original documentary, “Hands on a Hard Body”?

Can’t find it. I recall a New York-based editor telling me it was a wonderful script, and it played for a year in art theaters. I remember the Aquarius I saw the film with, and I remember thinking that I knew some of those people.

New York note: not scripted, hence the term, “Documentary.”

So the movie, in very limited release, called, “Bernie,” is an excellent film. Based on a true story, but liberally and artfully elaborated upon, nothing short of both big fun, and emotionally stirring.

Highly recommended.
