Long Gone
The image is an old grocery store, more properly, an “ice house” within the confines of San Antonio’s Laredito neighborhood.

I caught that image on foot, cold February day, only to discover, next time around, the building was plowed under, making way for progress.

More important, to me, at the time, was an address, now forgotten. Something to do with numbers. However, over time, equally important, to my mind’s eye, was that the same grocery — or ice house — was a focal point for a Jesse Trevino painting.
