Least hipster places?
Oh seriously?
I realize it’s a rerun of that previous news but I was so greatly amused by this, “Least hipster places?”
Seriously, people?
El Paso has been one of my regular stops for more than a dozen years. Grace the Psychic Lady claims it’s been two decades or more. I can’t validate that. It is a whistle-stop with regular lovers and and my great affection. Home to one of the largest military bases in the world, with the unfortunate name of Ft. Bliss. But least hipster places?
Texas was almost half the list. Sure, I can understand Dallas and Houston not being “hipster friendly,” but Ft. Worth is way cool. The T-shirt incident at Fred’s? El Paso has plenty of cheap beers, too, as does Ft. Worth , and San Antonio. Maybe not PBR, but we got Lone Star and Pearl, brewed in Ft. worth and originally from San Antonio. Oh yes, we got what hipsters want.
There are places in San Antonio, and Ft. Worth that out-Austin Austin, which is apparently a hipster capital.
Ft. Worth has world-class art, and San Antonio has 20 miles of world history on a walking path that extends from the Alamo to the world heritage historical missions.
My long-term thesis has always been, San Antonio is way weirder than Austin, just, no one cares.
Here, here, and here.
What was I looking for.
