The Second Rule of Ten

The Second Rule of Ten
Another Hay House murder mystery: The Second Rule of Ten.

Liked the first installment, as it was perfect, the preview was free on Kindle, then only, if I recall correctly, $1.99 on iTunes/iBooks. Excellent price for essentially new-age pulp.

It’s perfect blend of standard, hard-boiled, rogue-cop, LA PI, with enough of a twist, Tibetan Buddhism, thrown in the mix to make it mindful and interesting.

Drug cartel, drug trafficking, the Tibetan Diaspora, meditation and more… much, much more. This time? I was mindful of my previous mistake — I bought a copy on Amazon so I can pass it on to other readers.

I’m sure I read First Rule, but obviously I didn’t write a review. So I’m going to do a skimming refresher, before reading Second Rule. Good series.

I was thinking about what to bring on my trip (I have nearly as much fun planning for travel as I do actually on the road), and realized no Kindle necessary. Books available on iPad, all 300+ of them. And highly unlikely there will be time for reading.

Got “Line in the Sand” and will read after report finished (lots of study leaves little time for pleasure reading).

I know it’s a cliche, but I’ll say it anyway–so many books, so little time. There’s a lot of other living to do as well.

Yes, you read the First Rule of Ten as you cursed me for it…

      Sequel is good, too.
