Skate Tough

Skate Tough

“Skate tough or go have sex.”

It was graffiti long before graffiti was cool, or purportedly had a serious message. The image of that scrawled message — bathroom stall — single hole bathroom, place I used to run, that message has stuck with me. I don’t think I have any other remnants of that endeavor. Part of a misspent youth? Sure, call it that.

That expression has surfaced, as it had metaphorical meaning for a situation, just seems to fit. I amended the real expression, and tweaked it a bit, to hammer home the meaning.

“Skate tough, go have sex, or go home.”

Skate Tough or go have sex.
