Amazing Austin

Amazing Austin
I loved Austin for its attitude and absolute insistence on not taking itself too serious, with a liberal dose of, well, liberal, and a proper sense of the absurd.

Amazing Austin

I’ve worked — played — fished — in Austin for more than 20 years. Part of the last decade, I was in a trailer park in South Austin, sure, before they were cool, and I spent a weird amount of time riding the train — Amtrak — back from San Antonio. 3600 miles, at 90 miles a trip…. Close to 40 times in a year or so.

This thrilled me: the idea of riding and writing, as I was participating in my own way, back in the “Double-aughts.”

See me in Austin, soon. See astrofish.net/travel for details.
