Dallas at Night

Dallas at Night
“Did you ever see Dallas from DC-9 at night?”
Best if it’s Joe Ely belting out Jimmie Dale Gilmore’s classic of true Texas Music, song with the same name as the title refrain.

“Dallas is a jewel, oh Dallas gives off a beautiful light,
Did you ever see Dallas from a DC-9 at night?”

Mother’s Day, popped up to see my wee (Scorpio) mum.

She insisted on treating us to TexMex, and it was fancy place, sort of. Linen napkins, I know, right? Ordered up some “conchita pibil,” know the movie reference and Austin/San Antonio connection?

“Peaches.”

“?” (Just a look, right?)

“This places was ‘Peaches,’ back in the day.”

Random Miscellany?

All this has ever been, more experimental and experiential than anything else — not news.

“Did you ever see Dallas from DC-9 at night?”

Finally.
