Apples and Oranges

Apples and Oranges is only obliquely related to fruit, but it is sort of about the Apple App Store.

Most of the apps in the App Store are not sustainable, and wrangling pixels for many years, I’ve learned what has to be “sustainable,” and there’s a companion with that, “scalable.”

I’ve been writing a horoscope column for over 20 years, and the weekly format for most of that time. I can do another twenty years, that’s the goal. But it’s not an app. It is, however, sustainable and scalable.

Scanning the article, the bulk of new apps don’t make it as anything but a hobbyist level, which means, it dies an inglorious death.

My Shakespeare scholarship? That’s a hobby. Horoscopes? Sustainable in many forms. Stay tuned for more.
