Slide Rules

Slide Rules

Or Slide Rules? The old slipstick?

Just made me think of Slide Rules.

Previous reading material used that very term, “Slip Stick.” To be sure, I’ve used that as an analogy, before.

So the joke is “Slide Rules.” Too bad, not many folks, only those of a certain age will get it. I still have an honorary “slipstick,” a Faber-Castel, I think, left over.

Good technical training from an era when “Arts and Sciences” were more closely aligned, despite the best efforts of the various academics.

The analogy between about my astrology, and a calculation made on a slide rule stands up well.
