Cheap Sunglasses

Cheap Sunglasses

My favorite? Cheap Sunglasses?

Yes, it’s like 2006 again, Cheap Sunglasses.

Afternoon walk rain, clouds, rain, clouds, after the drought? We’ll take the rain. Clouds pushing over, and then? Sun pops out. Bright, harsh, South Texas Autumn sun.

“The heat is on…
It’s on the street..”
(Belay that song snippet, ear worm.)

For an upcoming joy ride, I figured I might need a quick and cheap lighter-phone-charger, so I went looking for one. Instead? I found cheap sunglasses.

Happiness at five bucks a pop. The last time I found good glasses like this was 2005. The last pair just gave out, last summer.

Five bucks. I was so happy, it’s rare, but so nice. Not happiness, but cheap happiness. Who said “Money can’t buy happiness?”

You just have to know where to shop, what used to be one of the historic Walgreen’s, a throwback to the “Five and dime” era.

Still cheap enough to bring a smile, with change leftover for “3rd Wave” coffee.
