The Judge

The Judge

The Judge is one of those movies that hits all the emotional points, crafted in a way to make sure the viewer feels it, whatever it is. Goes for the jugular on the emotional heart.

If I have to analyze a movie, and it felt like a long film, but if the plot requires a running analysis, I wonder. Panned by some critics as superstar actors, Downey and Duvall, with some chemistry, but maybe not enough.

After a little reflection, and any piece of literature that requires reflection is more art, what I realized was this film, its story, the plot, certain elements? It’s an adult, male child, fantasy. In the film, it’s the fantasy of the middle son, but that varies in real life, as to which son is looking for fatherly validation.

Excellent version here, but pretty much fantasy, too, from what I know about life.

So what was with the two Pink Floyd posters? Background visual noise, and one, the first, always catches my eyes? The Animals Album. The image, the old Battersea power plant, long abandoned. Then the poster for Wish You Were Here.

Not tiredly sure the posters fit the alleged historical times. And what was with the Metallica T-shirt?
