6.Ignore Metrics

Kind of obvious to some the easiest way to recall it?

“Just because it can be measured, does it need to be?”

There’s a corollary, too, what numbers matter?

The List.

I’ve explained before, lord knows.

Just Ignore Metrics, as that becomes a rabbit hole from which there is no escaping.

I’ve watched as one buddy spends an inordinate amount of time pouring over site statistics, “hits,” page views, visitors, pages clicked on, and links visited. While it’s a good idea to have a sketchy idea of where folks go, knowing every possible page visited, maybe that’s too much. Then too, there’s information overload.

Which is why I suggest “Ignore the metrics.”
