The bookmark, it fell out of one of the books in my collection. My personal library is an ever changing collection of the weird, the esoteric, and the commonly banal, all at one.

While I’ve long since decamped central Arizona and left the educational avenues behind me, the dusty desert of formal academic endeavors still haunts. The basement of that old building — wonder if it is still there.

Bexar County Line

Standing, then kneeling, in the “clearance” section of a Half-Price Books, the other afternoon, there was that vague connection with the passed time. At home, when the bookmark fell out, it just served to accentuate that sense.
