Furiously Happy

In my twitter feed, I glanced at a post from a librarian. I like librarians. It’s part of my Virgo fetish, which, at this point, will remain totally unrequited. I know my limits.

Still, I was looking for something to occupy me while the eye doctor’s assistant put those drops in my eyes.

That librarian’s twitter feed recommeded a book called Furiously Happy. Having read about it elsewhere, I quickly checked the local library, online, and grabbed the book.

Another funny story about a serious topic.

Shrug.

Granted, it is mordantly funny in places. Yes, good stuff. However, it is more like a weblog than a book. I applaud the premise, but I checked the book back in before I read more than a third of it.

Just another crazy writer in Texas.

Who knew?
