Honestly, I was never really a “Grisham fan.” Thus noted?

As lawyers, they valued their time. As investigators, they had learned patience. The two roles were often in conflict. Page 9.

Nice set up for conflicted.

Part way through, though, I had to wonder if Grisham was wandering into Hiassen and Dorsey’s territory.

Yeah, not so much. That was maybe 70 pages into a little over 300 pages.

Graft, corruption, the list goes on. And on. Good read, satisfying, and I understand why Grisham has the reputation, as the novel was taut, with enough legal background to be interesting. Plus underdogs. Always like to root fore the under-served portions of the legal system.
