Mercury and Hotspur
Yet the first bringer of unwelcome news
Hath but a losing office, and his tongue
Sounds ever after as a sullen bell,
Rememb’red tolling a departing friend.
Northumberland in Shakespeare’s
King Henry IV, part 2 (I.i.100-3)
Listening to this as a companion piece to Henry IV, part 1? I was first struck by booth the gravity yet willingness of the father to sacrifice his son — Hotspur — for the rebellion.
The quote itself bore some important notices about my job, “The first bringer of unwelcome news hath but a losing office.”
Mercury goes Retrograde December 19, 2016 at 4:55 AM, not turning direct until January 8, 2017, at 3:42 AM (Central Time, +/-).
Of interest? Mars, Zero Pisces to start. This dovetails with material from the last year, and a larger pattern is emergent.
Stay tuned, only going to get more fun from here.
