Below the Belt – Stuart Woods

Reading when I can, as I can. This is purely escapist fiction for me. I like the idealized world, and there is that recurrent character, admirable for both his sexual stamina (it is fiction), and his worldly belief systems, as evidenced by both plot and story.

Besides, a new Stuart Wood’s book? It’s like a guilty pleasure for me.

This one was as polished a novel as any, heaping whole worlds of story into a narrow, confined space, spanning the globe. More an installment, rather than a stand alone novel. While not quite as gripping as some, the motion in the story was exceptional, and it was good to the final page, leaving me to poke around on Amazon to figure out when the next book ships.

Economical prose that I can only hope to emulate — some day.

Tight story. Worked well for me.
