Not sure, but it is one of the books that kept me up half the night, reading, when I should’ve been asleep.
The Fix
Topical in references, and interesting plot line, plus, an unusual character.
Amos Decker, Number Three, I think. Good fun, strong fourth act twist. Enough of a threaded plot line to keep the tale rollicking and rolling.
There was a cool bit of plot subterfuge wherein it looked like it was going to be Murder on the Orient Express-type of tale and unraveling, but, wait for it, and then there are ancillary characters, with some material leftover from the previous novel — of the same lineage.
