Most Normal One

True story. How I might be the most normal one in my family.

All about those frame of reference points, you know?

All about that frame of reference.

With my date, one time, I was taking her to “Meet the family,” and I was busy telling that one girlfriend, “I’m the most normal one in my family.”

Garnered a loud roll of the eyes — a very loud roll of the eyes.

Then she met my family.

Turns out, I am the most normal one.

”Don’t get me wrong,
that’s not saying a lot.”

I was relating this tale to Sister and her partner, who then said that was exactly what my Sister had said, “Claimed she was the most normal one in her family.”

All about that frame of reference.

After meeting the family, Sister’s partner just laughed and laughed. Didn’t say, either way, who was more normal, but they are still together, so I suspect she agrees. Always helps to agree with one’s girlfriend.

Doesn’t stop me from maintaining I’m the most normal one in my family.

All about that frame of reference.
