Indecent Exposure – Stuart Woods

Like the title implies?

It is another guilty pleasure of mine, Stuart Woods and his serial material, one right after another. I recall, someplace, the author stating his publisher asked for four books in a year. Increased the output. For me, this is fine. The book are perfect “library” books, best checked out of the Bexar Biblio-Tech dot org and quickly consumed. I recall one of the novels taking no more than a single afternoon. Still, a literary guilty pleasure.

The challenge, not the material itself, but leaving a certain amount time set aside to read. There comes a point in the story where the plot and story conspire to read more.

Don’t want to stop to put the novel down.

Indecent Exposure

Previously, I dubbed this kind of serial work as Hardy Boys for adults. Situations, language, implied content. Sex and adult beverages. But the series varies, some to thriller, some aping mystery, and this one being a benign pass at covert intrigue. Not quite 007, but in a similar genre.

Maybe.

Yes, action adventure, and I’m always moved at how seamless the material is. The rhythm is perfect, pacing, plot, all conspires to keep reading. Rather enjoyable stuff.

The biggest challenge with this type of material? Openly admitting in public that this is a something I read — and enjoy.

Guilty pleasure.
